Hybrid buses are excellent for London but couldn't it get a lot cleaner by introducing electric buses run on solar energy? They would place solar panels all over the top of the bus and use the energy to run the bus which means the bus will be emission free and there would be no fuel lost. The buses would practically run for free! I hope this is introduced in the next few years because this will be a massive project.

Would be a great idea but this means they have to aim to keep the solar panels to a certain height in which the bus can wreck it's roof of.
