Saturday 12th July 2014 - Kerro London are back in action with some important news for all. We have successfully gained two garages in west London, Atlas Road garage in Acton and Wandsworth garage in Wandsworth. We have also won the contract for route 49 between Clapham Junction and White City, it has a peak vehicle requirement of 21 and is specified a full fleet of hybrid double-deckers. We will also be the first London bus operator to purchase the Scania H250UD/Wright StreetSmart which is the cleanest hybrid bus on the market. 13 of these will arrive for newly won route 49 as well as 9 other hybrid double-deckers. Back to garages and our new Devane Way (Norwood) garage is open and ready to take routes.
Friday 20th June 2014 - Tomorrow morning, Kerro London begin operation of route 94 but as none of the 34 hybrid double-deckers have arrived we have loaned 23 double-deckers from London Southern and Unorm Travel until the 26th of June. London Southern will provide 14 Alexander Dennis Enviro400/Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMC double-decker buses and Unorm Travel will provide 6 Trident 2/ALX400 double-decker buses, three being 9.9m and the others being 10.5m. They will also loan 3 Volvo B5LH/Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 double-decker buses. These buses will run alongside our AE, AEH, SNC and TR coded buses.
Update: After the hours of 2000, Westbourne Park garage started to receive the delivery of the Alexander Dennis Enviro400H Hybrid/Alexander Dennis Enviro400 double-decker buses for route 94, so far 13 have arrived and the remaining 12 have been diverted to Merton for the night with the other 9 due for delivery on Monday, driver training will begin on the buses during the off peaks on Sunday.
Wednesday 18th June 2014 - Kerro London have today won the contract for route 219 between Clapham Junction and Wimbledon, it has a peak vehicle requirement of 11 and is specified diesel or hybrid buses. We have also won the contract for route 220 between Wandsworth and Willesden Junction, it has a peak vehicle requirement of 28 and is specified a full fleet of hybrid double-deckers. The 219 will be operated from Merton garage with 13 hybrid buses and the 220 will be operated from both Merton and Westbourne Park with 31 hybrid double-deckers. The contracts begins on the 28th of June 2014.
Monday 16th June 2014 - Kerro London have today had planning permission approved to re-develop the Devane Way site in West Norwood. It would cost a sum of £8,000,000 and will be completed before the end of the month. The garage will be able to hold up to 230 buses as well as having best possible mechanical pits to carry out maintenance on up to 10 buses at a time and being the company refurbishment centre with space for 9 buses at any given time. The garage is situated just off Knights Hill, next to West Norwood train station and a few minutes up the road from Norwood bus garage.
