So about half an hour ago, I arrived at the route 8 bus stop in Bow Church. There was a crowd larger than usual. Someone told me they had been waiting 20 minutes. The bus eventually arrived 10 minutes later, and it was terminating (rather it's going to terminate- probably still in Bethnal Green) at Liverpool Street. This was something I'd never seen before, though I always thought it was a 'good' place to terminate early. Anyway, during this time, there were A LOT of 8's going in the other direction. While at the bus stop, I counted 6. At the roundabout I saw another. Then another on the A12. In between the Old Ford junction and Old Ford Road, I saw a total of 8 BUSES. They were all in pairs. As soon as I alighted, I went on the london vehicle finder. There was about two thirds of the page with W/B buses. E/B had the rest of the page and A WHOLE OTHER PAGE.
So in summary: 1 westbound bus in 30 minutes 16 eastbound buses in 20 minutes (but 11 of these were sighted in 10 minutes)

All buses heading towards or near Central London are curtailed due to a taxi protest.

Not really actually ... Routes were affected.

But that still doesn't explain why there should be 1 bus in 30 minutes but 16 in 20 minutes in the opposite direction.

Route 25 wasn't having a Normal day from my observations, neither was the 205. The 205s were all curtailing at Baker Street and the 25s at every place possible. The Reason for the huge bunching on one direction is because when the protest was cleared all the buses had bunched together

If it was by around 1500ish, then I wouldn't have seen them.
