So, one year ago today, route 24 was fully converted from regular diesel buses to New Bus For London operation (now called the New Routemaster). Since then, 6 more routes have converted and one more, the 8, will be converting next Saturday.

Here are my opinions on the Conversions... Route 24: Shouldn't have been the first route to convert, it already had buses which were not even 6months old. But now the service is decent, the routing is very touristy, therefore an ideal place for the buses Route 11: Probably the most entertaining conversion, it was planned to be phased over 10 days, that became 22 days. But it was about time the route got new buses In my opinion. GAL seem to enjoy sneaking the average conventional bus onto the route every now and again. Route 9: Possibly the most smooth conversion, not much was wrong with it and the service is still pretty good. Route 390: Possibly not the smoothest conversions, although finally a LT serves Oxford Street and the Open Platform can be used to the limit. Although a late night diversion probably annoyed that route Route 148: not my favourite, it deserves to have conductors. But it's improving day by day and will be among the best if you give it some time to improve Route 10: Another Pointless conversion, it's not bringing an LT anywhere new, all it's stops are shared with either the 9, 148 or 390. Route 38: first conversion with only Part Route conductors. The conversion was 20 days late but the service is good. Roite N38: First Night route to be converted, it brung an LT to the suburbs of East London, LT176 crashed within a week of N38 operation. Route 8: My closest LT conversion, and it will allow Kickdown on the A12 I am interested to see the performance Route N8: My closest night route Conversion so far, I will enjoy seeing it battle the turns of Hainault

Speaking of smooth conversions, quite a few LTs have already entered service, so I should think by Saturday they'll all be in service. And I'm quite dissapointed with TfL that they think almost all of them need to serve Victoria.

I agree with the 10's conversion and would think similarly if and when the 12 is converted (where it follows the 148 and 453 for 3/4 of the journey). On top of that there may be chances of the 88 and 159 converting, which follows the 12 between Oxford Circus and WestMinister/Lambeth North. Nevertheless it may likely be converted so as to benefit the public in the Peckham and Dulwich areas. The 148 on contrast was one of the best routes to have been converted, especially with its South London link with West London, also with the majority of the route serving zone one.
