Angel Travel as well as a few other companies are planned to go on Strike on the 26th of August 2014. Angel Travel is striking due to the lack of Public information about how BW can maintain so much buses as well as have buses parked in an empty space overnight. All of it's routes will not be running including key routes such as 25, 15, 73, 5 and 86.
Talks will take place to see if the issue can be resolved prior to the strike

London Buses On The Go will strike on 26th August due to the same reason as Angel Travel. There will be no 210 or 603.

I even included a satellite image. Holding a strike isn't going to help. Especially not running the 25. I find it pretty selfish. If this strike still goes ahead, I will be doing my duty as an operator and I will be running as many extra buses as possible on routes 8 and 323, as well as other essential routes.

Regarding storing buses, BW is a 24-hour garage. There's always drivers and people at the site. We employ security contractors and there's floodliights. Besides, 3 of the 4 sides are inaccessible. One is the river Lea.

Not running 4 of London's busiest routes (25, 5, 73 and 86) will cause disruption, and TFL will take action on what needs to be done. Overall routes not running are 5, 15, 25, 62, 73, 86, 115, 362, 368, 686, EL1, EL2, N15, N86 and N551. East London is Dependant on the 5, 25 and 86 and hopefully this gets the message across.

I've said what I needed to say. All I'm going to do now is await a response from TfL.

There's still 2 weeks left so we hope the matter will be resolved before the strike date.

Extra buses will be drafted in on the day from areas not affected to areas affected, especially BW. This includes SDs and DDs.

I would like every company that is planning to go on strike to come to The West London Bus Blog's chatbox to discuss this issue today (14/08/14) at 12pm sharp. There we will try to resolve everything together and no further strike action will be held.

In fact, I won't be available from about 0930, so in 20 mins, till about 6 by the time I get home. I'm not participating in the strike, but my garage, BW, is involved.

LB72, I will try my best, but I might not be able to make that. I am going to be unavailable from Friday-Wednesday also, so hopefully if I'm on later, someone can tell me the highlights. Sorry.

I can't attend the planned meeting of all operators in LOG at WLBB chatbox to discuss the issue today at 12pm sharp as I'm busy and instead I have sent you a PM on the forum to hopefully resolve this and call off the strike.

"Angel Travel is striking due to the lack of Public information about how BW can maintain so much buses as well as have buses parked in an empty space overnight."
Surely its up to the operator , this seems like an incompletely described issue, having commuted in London for 23 years, I loathe strikes.
