Unorm has informed us that the E350H and MetroCity are available, which means we are to sell our Streetlites and replace them with a mixture of E350H's and MetroCity's. Unorm has already expressed interest in buying them so that's who they'll be sold to. The E350H's will use the 37000 series while the MetroCity's will use the 26000 series.

We will not be bidding for any routes or garages in the Bonley Buses sell-out for 3 reasons:
1)We would like to give some of the new companies a better chance. 2)We are running a little low on funds. 3)We're not interested in South London because we feel there is too much competition there and its not worth bidding for garages there.

We have ordered 4 10.2m Diesel Optare Metrocity's as trial buses. One of these buses will be in each garage that operates an SD route: BW, FM, E and PR. These buses will use the 26000 series while the electric vehicles will use the 27000 series.
Also, we have decided to keep one of the Streetlites. 37038 will be re-numbered a very lonely 38001- probably the only vehicle in the series.

We have so far bid for routes 10, 26/N26, 30, 97, 158, 215, 275 and 388. We will be bidding for more routes as soon as I get access to a laptop and I can check the route on a map.

We've bid for every single route in Tranches 10 and 11. We're pretty confident about Tranche 10 as nearly every single route can and will be run from two garage- some even 3. Tranche 11, we're not so confident.

The results are out and, to put it simply, we have won the routes we were least expecting to win. We have won the 26/N26, 30 and 388, which are in one group, and the 97, 158, 215 and 275 which are also in one group.
All of these routes will be run from BW. The 30 will be partially run from BW and partially from KC. KC is currently full, so to accomodate for this the 56, currently operating from KC, will also be run partially from BW and partially remaining at KC. As both these routes require hybrid DDs, it is likely the 56's buses won't go anywhere, and all new buses will go to BW. To avoid confusion, the 30 and 56 will both share the same buses.
As for bus types, the 26 group and the 97 all call for hybrid DDs. These will most likely all be ADL E400H's. As for the remaining diesel DD routes, it is likely they will use a mixture of existing Presidents, E400's, and 'new' Tridents and 'new' Omnicities.
Another update will be given at a later date.

In other news, all Metrocities, E350H's have arrived. Only 14 Streetlites have been sold. The rest have been given temporary fleet numbers with the only change being that the '7' has changed to an '8'. So for example, 37020 has changed to 38020.
On the 19 July we commenced operation of routes 8, 139, 184, 189, 382, 383 and 384. LTs for the 8 have not arrived, so it currently operates with E400H's.
PS. I didn't realise this before, but one of the recently won routes will get the 8's E400H's.

Nice choices, I'm glad you've put the best available new buses on the 388!! Well, the contract called for hybrid buses, and the only other option is the Gemini 2/3. Apart from the NBFL, I hate anything made by Wrightbus (which is why I'm selling the 37's Geminis).

We are currently in talks with Courtney Buses London and we will be loaning around 70% of Peckham garage to them.
Meanwhile, I've totally forgotten about route 458 which is a commercial route won from Bonley Buses sellout. From tomorrow, operation will re-commence with a temporary allocation of 5 Plaxton Presidents/Dennis Trident 2s, fleetcodes 16001-16005.

Nice thread for your operator. I agree that buses made by Wrightbus aren't really the best and most end up ordering ADL lol. Wise allocation for the 388 IMO! Good luck in LOG

Why is everyone mentioning the 388? I quite like the buses on the route. One reason I don't like the Geminis is that I really hate Volvo chassis (except the B7TL) and they're usually built on Volvo chassis. There's also other reasons. And thanks. . Good luck to you as well. P.S. Shame I'm not so popular on other forums (just kidding). Actually, on the bus forum, I was involved in a couple of arguments, one about hybrid buses and the importance of caring for the environment, etc, and the other in the off-route board, about... Taylor Swift. I'm a big Taylor Swift fan. Unfortunately, no one else agreed.

We have decided that all Gemini 2/Volvo B5LHs and on B9TL chassis are to be sold. These will be put up for sale when the next results are announced. However, LBOTG will have priority for the hybrids (of course, he/she might not order all of them). These will be replaced with ADL E400s. However, if LondonConnect (eventually) gives us permission, we might trial hybrid flywheel technology on Scania Omnicities. If it is allowed and it counts as a hybrid bus, be prepared to see A LOT more Scania Omnicities across London.

NP mate. I'm interested in the B9TL Gemini 2 and also would consider converting it all to hybrid flywheel technology if LB72 allows it (likely he would) but we would be trailing it on both SD and DD. If this proves successful Citybus London would see a large vehicle type variety and huge benefits to fuel efficiency and the environment.
I plan to trail the hybrid flywheel technology on the Mercedes Benz Citaro 12m for single decker routes and on the Gemini 1/Volvo B7TL on a Voith gearbox for double decker routes.

So, we've agreed to sell the 10 Wright Eclipse Gemini 2/Volvo B9TL's to Citybus London ( londonbuses67). All buses will arrive next weekend. As 13501 is registered in memory of the Boxing Day Tsunami (26 12 04), the bus will retain it's registration number. However, all the other buses will be given new registrations as londonbuses67 can tell you on his thread. Quite obviously, they'll all be re-coded.

We are interested in doing DLR replacement trials. If we're allowed more than one, we're also going to trial District Line replacement.
Also, the conversion date for the 8 has been confirmed as 31 August. Which is a Sunday.

We were not able to even bid for any routes because LondonConnect couldn't be bothered to make a new post regarding the new deadline, meaning I had no way of knowing about the new deadline because as far as I was concerned, bidding closed on the 16th. That meant the only way I could find out would be if I visited the thread, but I had no reason to. I consider this a real shame considering LondonConnect's recent poor form & standards and my recent complaint. In fact, the only reason I'm not considering quitting is because I've got BW and the 8 (both extremely local) which I'll be lucky to get on any other operator game.

May I ask how you have fit 14 Routes into BW as it only has an ability to hold 120 buses, and how you manage to maintain all the Double Deckers there as the facilities there are pretty poor? (In real life WH maintains BW buses)
